AI agents with Copilot Studio, inside your tenant.
Discover how n8n can transform your business processes through efficient, flexible automation. Improve your team's productivity.
Copilot Studio for the agents that hold conversations and Power Automate for the flows that connect systems. On your own tenant, with Entra ID identity, the permissions you already have, and governance from the Power Platform admin center.
Three pieces, and none of them new to manage.
What once required bringing in a separate platform now lives in the subscription the company already pays for.
- Agents that converse — Copilot Studio is a low-code studio for building agents. They're published in Teams, Microsoft 365 Copilot, SharePoint, or a website, and they answer with the knowledge you connect to them.
- Flows that connect — Power Automate runs cloud flows triggered by events, on demand, or on a schedule, with connectors to your business applications. For what still runs on-premises, the on-premises data gateway acts as a bridge without opening a single inbound port.
- Governance before enthusiasm — Power Platform environments to separate what's being tested from what's in production, data policies that classify each connector as business, non-business, or blocked, and auditing in Purview.
What's under the hood.
Four facts about the platform, not someone else's case study.
- 2 — Flow types in Power Automate: cloud and desktop
- 6 — Ways to give an agent tools: connector, flow, prompt, REST API, MCP, and app control
- 0 — Inbound ports opened by the on-premises data gateway
- 1 — Identity: the agent reads with the permissions of whoever is asking
How we put it to work.
First we decide what's worth automating. Then we automate it.
- Discover — Process mining reconstructs how a process actually works from system logs, and task mining does the same from what happens on the desktop. That produces the list of what's worth automating and what isn't.
- Build — The flow or agent is built in a development environment, with data policies already in place, and tested with people from the business area before anything in production is touched.
- Operate — The automation center brings together runs, work queues, machines, and errors. Failures are visible, and whoever is accountable for each agent has a name.
Where companies usually start.
Four automations that don't require redesigning anything to start saving time.
- Approvals inside Teams — The request reaches the approver where they already work, gets answered without opening another tool, and leaves a trail of who approved what and when.
- Email and attachments that file themselves — The attachment is saved where it belongs, its data is extracted and loaded into the business system through a connector, with no one copying and pasting.
- In-house systems that respond — A database or application that lives on your premises is queried from the cloud through the gateway, which acts as a bridge without exposing your network.
- An agent that handles first-level support — The agent answers with the company's documents—and only the ones the person asking can open—and hands off to a person when the case calls for it.
