Technology Support: Arcetec's open call

Apoyo Tecnológico is the open call through which Arcetec invests in an entrepreneurial project. Not with a check or a discount, but by building the technology it needs to exist.

There is a scene that keeps repeating. Someone has a business that already works—or an idea that clearly will—and knows exactly what it needs to take the leap, only to find out that it costs more than the business can afford yet. So the idea waits a year. And another.

This call exists to end that wait in one concrete case. For the winning project, we build the product—we design it, develop it, and get it running—and then we stay on for twelve more months, because delivering software and disappearing is not investing in anyone.

The projects we are looking for

Businesses that need technology, not companies that sell it.

A coffee shop that can't keep up with orders. A bakery that wants to sell online. A travel agency that keeps its bookings in a notebook. An insurance brokerage that loses renewals because it has no reminders. A consulting or HR firm drowning in spreadsheets. A sustainability project that needs to measure its impact in order to prove it. All of these qualify.

Only one thing is excluded, and it is worth saying plainly: projects whose core business is the same as Arcetec's—software development, cloud services, AI integration, or technology consulting. It is not a judgment on their value: in those cases we would be both judge and competitor, and that serves neither the project nor the call.

How the year is spent

The clock starts on January 15, 2027, the same day the winner is announced. Twelve months from there.

How projects are evaluated

• Social or environmental impact: What real problem it solves and how many people it reaches.
• Technical feasibility: Whether it can be built with available technology and within a reasonable time frame.
• Innovation and use of AI: What it brings that is new, and whether it uses data, AI, or automation where it makes sense.
• Team and execution: Who is behind it and whether they can sustain the project once it is built.
